Smart Cities On-Call Services

Consor assisted the City and County of Denver with its Smart City Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment (ATCMTD) program. Through this program, Denver is advancing connected vehicle (CV) and infrastructure technology, with an initial focus on three distinct projects: Connected Pedestrian, Connected Freight, and Connected Traffic Management Center (TMC)/Fleet. Consor was responsible for drafting, soliciting feedback, and producing final systems engineering documentation for all three projects, including a System Engineering Management Plan, a Concept of Operations, and System Requirements. Consor designed the Connected Pedestrian project with a goal of improving safety for pedestrians crossing the roadway at four existing HAWK signals. The Connected Freight project aimed to improve the movement of freight vehicles and their associated impacts on traffic and air quality by providing prioritized signal timing to freight operators. And the goal of the Connected TMC/Fleet project was to provide the TMC operators with a more advanced understanding of real time conditions through the deployment of CV technology in City fleet vehicles.
